Founded in 2011, Shinola became the first company to manufacture watches at scale in the U.S. since the 1960. But more than watches, Shinola has quickly became known for i’s premium leather goods, bicycles, and journals.
The name “Shinola” reflects a strong American heritage, of a shoe polish company founded in 1907. Shinola found its way into American culture during World War II, when the colloquialism “You don’t know shit from Shinola” was popularized.
Characterized by bold designs, and the highest grade parts, Shinola watches are hand-assembled in Detroit.
